HDMI is the standard for digital video transmission supporting standard, enhanced and high definition video signals and can be converted to DVI-D using this cable. This cable is used to connect devices fitted with HDMI connectors (such as TV tuner cards & DVD players) with devices fitted with DVI-D connectors (such as TFT monitors and some of the LCD TVs).
HDMI 1.2 and HDMI 1.3 both carry signals that are electrically compatible with those found in a DVI connector. This cable make use of this fact and has a HDMI Type A connector at one end and a DVI-D connector at the other.
This cable is made from UL 20276, double shielded HDMI cable, conforms to HDMI 1.2 specifications and supports transmission rates of up to 3.7Gbits per second at resolutions of up to 1920 x 1080 pixels (1080P).
